THE FRAMEWORK

Before you explore the six themes within the framework, take some time to challenge any assumptions that have surfaced, in your community.

Ask, “What if it was possible that …?” Or, “What would this look like if we shifted our thinking or our practice to …?”

As you explore the six themes, which of the Stabilizing Assumptions most align to those you identified are present in your community and what identifiers implicate how this became an established norm., relate to.

Draw from or craft your own framing for desired shared understanding, and use the lines of inquiry to begin your learning journey, as a whole community. The next steps are there to support different members or groups of people in your community, since not everyone moves together at the same pace.

Read the vignettes as a community and use the prompts to initiate discussion.

Then begin to question, “What is holding this model of implementation (education) in place?” and, “What are the assumptions about learning and learners that influence our school?”
