Hello, and welcome to the inaugural post of Education by Design Podcast! I am thrilled to embark on this journey with you as we explore the dynamic world of education, innovation, and creative thinking.

We have been refining education systems, for years. Many reform efforts have not worked to meet the needs of all students. But there is so much innovation in education. Maybe it’s time to redesign it. Not by tearing things down and starting from scratch, but from what we know works to ready young people to be lifelong learners.

In today’s fast-paced society, education is more important than ever. Yet, it’s also rapidly evolving. Traditional methods are being challenged, and new approaches are emerging, driven by technology, pedagogy, and the unique needs of learners. That’s where Education by Design comes in.

What to Expect

In each episode, I interview thought leaders and practitioners who help us to stay grounded in the things we know we need and to move education forward. I dive deep into topics that matter—discussing innovative teaching strategies, interviewing thought leaders, and sharing insights from educators who are making a difference. Whether you’re a teacher, administrator, parent, or lifelong learner, my goal is to inspire and equip you with the tools to create engaging and effective educational experiences. To do this, I source incredible lifelong learners, who want to share their success with you.

Why “Education by Design”?

The title reflects our belief that education should be intentional and thoughtfully constructed. Just as architects design buildings with purpose, we can design learning environments that foster curiosity, critical thinking, and collaboration. Every episode will aim to highlight practical strategies and transformative ideas that can be implemented in classrooms, homes, and communities.
