In your most recent unit/topic, how often did you:

  • encourage students to draw on insights from their own individual experiences and backgrounds?

  • help students to see the “big picture” relevance of what they are studying?

  • encourage students to see an issue/idea from multiple perspectives?

Situative Learning: How Context Matters Learning takes place when students are able to construct meaning based on their own experiences. Often that’s happening with a change in the situation.
